The first day I dropped our daughter off (just shy of 6 months old) I hysterically cried in the parking lot; but, it quickly became like dropping her off at her grandmom’s house. Her eyes lit up and she got the biggest smile on her face whenever she saw Mrs.
McLaughlin in the morning. She’s never cried that she didn’t want to go, instead she practically pushes off me to go to Mrs. McLaughlin! The bond and secure attachment my daughter feels with her truly speaks volumes. And, I’m certain Mrs. McLaughlin isn’t the only great teacher who really has a gift for childcare at Alpine in Oak Ridge, and that goes to show what a great program Mrs. Dugan runs. My husband I are looking forward to our daughter moving up to Mrs. Dugan’s classroom and for the great care we know she will continue to receive at your wonderful school.

Our twins have been with Alpine Montessori since they were three months old. I am sure any parent can imagine the anxiety and apprehension of leaving your children with anyone else but family. However, the staff at Alpine was absolutely amazing. From nurturing competent caregivers to infants to highly effective educators instilling foundational skills to our children, this hard working group of people do it all with dedication and love. We cannot be more proud to be Alpine Alum and know that the six years we spent with Alpine has been invaluable. My son and daughter are more than ready for 1st grade and we owe it all this school and its staff

I don’t know what I would have done without Alpine during Covid – or during any time for that matter. With a new baby, an active 5 year old – and a full time job – having Alpine just around the corner was an absolute blessing. They were so thoughtful with how they reopened and I felt at ease knowing that both of my kids would be safe and well taken care of, while getting the interaction that they needed. Also in this virtual world and working remotely, schedules tend to shift very often – Alpine was always very accommodating if I ever needed to add a day here and there. The teachers became our family and my oldest has thrived ever since enrolling three years ago.

We are grateful to Alpine for all it did for our daughter, Claire. She was truly loved and cared for! And is so ready for school, she may be bored the first half of the year at kindergarten because she knows all of it already!
The staff treats our children like their own, which is hard to find these days. But there’s something to be said about discipline also – my daughter is a big mischief but her teacher found a way to keep her in line, learning and playing, and we’ve benefited from it at home also 🙂
We simply have only good things to say about this school and would recommend it to any parent who is looking for a safe, loving environment with a huge bonus of your child being completely and totally ready for school. Five stars!

Transitioning your children from the unconditional tender love of your own hands to the hands of another is never an easy task. As an educator, I was very selective in choosing a facility to place my children in. I wanted more than just “glorified babysitting.”
It has been over 3 years now and we couldn’t be happier. My first son has just graduated from Alpine’s Pre-K program and although he will be entering Kindergarten with the Public School system, my second son who just turned 2 will happily continue on at Alpine.
The staff at Alpine has always made me feel very comfortable and confident each day as I dropped my children off. Although my children have one main teacher, everyone at Alpine who interacted with them always welcomed them with open arms and genuinely enjoyed them as individuals.
Whether it be learning how to take turns, share, and listen or colors, shapes, and numbers there is true learning going on at Alpine. My son has graduated the Pre-K program from Mrs. Davis’ class as an empathetic caring child who also knows how to read and write! I cannot say enough about the school and how satisfied I am with the staff and curriculum there.
If you are like me, no place will be “good enough” for your child. But sometimes, we have no choice but to make the best choice possible. I highly recommend Alpine Montessori. Call Mtrs. Dugan and schedule an appointment for a tour and see for yourself.
Best of luck!

Having to go back to work full-time when your daughter is 6 months old is a tough experience but Mrs. Davis and her staff made this an easy transition and I never felt like I had to check up on Alyse because I knew our daughter was in good hands. Having my daughter Alyse at Alpine was a wonderful experience overall and Mrs. Davis did a fantastic job between pre-school education and providing a nice environment. All of the staff is great and does a great job!! It was a memorable experience for us as parents and we’ll miss you all now that Alyse is going to Kindergarten! Have a great summer!

My daughter Ava started at Alpine Montessori (Oak Ridge) when she was just 3 1/2 months old. I had to go back to work and being a new mom, leaving her was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. During this past year, I have seen her learn and grow so much. Being a Montessori school, she is in the same room as the older children and I think it has been wonderful for her social skills. She has learned so much this year and I know she will continue to learn every day she is there. The Alpine teachers and staff are so wonderful and caring, they love her and I know she loves them. My husband and I definitely made the right decision when we chose Alpine Montessori.

My daughter started at Alpine Montessori September 2008 when she was 2 1/2 yrs. old. Since she was our first, I was delighted that the staff made me feel so comfortable leaving her in their care. She did so well at Alpine, that she stayed until she graduated Kindergarten. Mrs. Dugan was her teacher all 4 years and was absolutely wonderful. All of the staff at Alpine are exceptional. Teachers and aides are so involved with the education of each child. It amazes me that they learn Spanish and Italian and really enjoy learning it. My son is there now and has been for the past 4 years with Mrs. Davis. He graduates in a week and has done exceptionally well also. Alpine really fosters the children into becoming well-rounded individuals. I highly recommend Alpine Montessori School to anyone looking for a daycare/school for their young children. I am sad to see our 6 years have gone by so quickly but I know my children’s early education was excellent. Thank You Alpine staff for such a wonderful experience. My family thanks you all. Regards, The Babitz Family

This is my sons second year at Alpine Montessori and it is probably the best school around. There curriculum is outstanding! The things my son comes home to telling me I’m shocked that a 3 year old would even know. He will be very prepared for when he goes to kindergarten. He counts and says words in Spanish that I never learned until I was in elementary school. They prepare this kids for everything and its wonderful. There security of the child is also excellent, I can leave there feeling comfortable that my child is safe in their hands. The teachers are all so nice and very helpful. They will do anything to help your child succeed. They are also great when it comes to potty training your child! I would recommend this school to anyone in the area. Thank you Alpine Staff for everything you have done. Cant wait for another year of being surprised by the things my son will learn!

Alpine Montessori (Oak Ridge) has wonderful teachers who have been there for a significant amount of time. The classrooms are well organized, clean and the school is efficiently run. Communications between school and home were informative, timely and comfortable.Policies and procedures are clear enforced and appreciated by this family. As a family that entered with mixed feelings on the Montessori model and mixed age groups, we were proven wrong and are extremely happy with our experience. We were confident knowing that when we sent our son to school he would be safe and come home knowing more then when he left. Our only regret is that we came to Alpine so late in the game, our older son did not get to have the same wonderful learning experiences (Music guest teacher was a favorite) as our younger son. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Alpine Montessori is a wonderful place! My daughter started there at 6 months old. I was very nervous and was not really sure what to expect. They absolutely exceeded my expectations! My daughter LOVES going to school everyday. She has learned so much. Each teacher knows and understands the needs of each child in the school. They are all exposed to many great programs and activities each week. One of the best things about the school is that they let each child be who they are. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grow! Thank you again for all the you do each day! We are very excited to be a part of the Alpine family for many years to come!

Words cannot express how much I love Alpine Montessori (Oak Ridge). My son is 2 1/2 and suprises me everyday with something he has learned in school. He can currently count to 20 in Spanish, knows all of his letter AND sounds by sight and best of alll has the most outgoing personality. He loves telling us all about his day and it is busy. Between the music man and the librarian and lunch and nap he’s a very busy little man!! When I became pregnant with my daughter I had a lot of anxiety about leaving her as a newborn but was reassured knowing that the Alpine staff cared for my child as if they were their own. My daughter is now 6 months old and she equally seems genuinely happy.. Thanks to the Alpine staff for a great year, the Henderson’s are very greatful for all of your hardwork

I want to thank you for all that you have done this year in making changes to Alpine Montessori. Nehemiah and Victoria are my children. I will let you know that I wasn’t sure how things would change when we came to find out that the school was under new management. I didn’t think Alpine Montessori could get any better but you have done a wonderful job. So many new things have been offered like the music classes, the math book for next year. I made a decision about keeping Nehemiah at Montessori for kindergarten after talking with numerous parents at the school and at outside schools. My husband and I went to three open houses and two school visits. I never just assume my child will continue somewhere I do the research. Nothing compared to Montessori. I sing its praises to friends, neighbors and patients. People know that is a lot coming from me because I take nothing for granted. I take off work to participate at every party not only to share the time with my children but to also see how the school is operating. You have been not only so present in the school but also I appreciate how you keep the parents informed about events that occur when I am not there because it gives me so much more to talk about with my children regarding their day. This is a little note to you to say thank you for an EXCELLENT school year.

Both of my sons have been going to Alpine Montessori for over two years now. They came from a traditional daycare. The differences are amazing…the Montessori school is so clean and organized. The teachers are great with my kids and they really zone in on thier educational strengths. I never thought my five year old would be happy to do homework! Alpine Montessori makes learning enticing and the progress my kids make so quickly blows me away. I appreciate this school and how well it has done for my family. I am proud to be a part of it.

As an educator, I searched for months looking for the right school for my son and daughter. I wanted a school that had a similar philosophy to the personal educational philosophy in our home, one that provided a loving and caring environment where children can grow at their own rate. I feel very fortunate to have discovered the Alpine Montessori School. We have been part of the Alpine Montessori family for the last three years. It has given my children all that I was hoping for and more. I cannot say enough about the dedication of the staff, the learning environment that is provided daily with structure and discovery, and the wonderful music program. My children have developed a love of learning that they will carry with them throughout their lives and a sense of respect for themselves and others. A special thank you to my children’s teachers for all their hard work and dedication. It is greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to say how much I truly love Alpine Montessori! As a first time mom, I was very nervous about sending my daughter to preschool for the first time but as soon as I dropped her off she said “By Mom”. And two years later, she absolutely loves her school, she loves all the friends she made and all the wonderful teachers and aides that are there! Mrs. Dugan and Mrs. Connelly, and everyone else is absolutely wonderful! She comes home singing all these songs and its amazing how much she learned at her time there!! Thank-you Alpine for taking such great care of my daughter!!
